Shannon Fentiman is Queensland’s Shadow Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Women.
Shannon is committed to social justice and throughout her career has worked to improve the lives of working people. She is passionate about fighting discrimination and unfairness at work and in the community.
Shannon Fentiman is the Shadow Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Women. She has been the Member for Waterford in the Queensland Legislative Assembly since 2015.
During Shannon’s time in the Labor Government, she held a number of ministerial portfolios including Attorney General, Child Safety, Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence, Small Business, Employment and Training, and the Minister for Health.
Shannon grew up on the Gold Coast and has always called the Sunshine State her home. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from QUT and a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne.
Before entering politics Shannon worked as anemployment lawyer and volunteered at a number of community organisations in Logan including the Centre Against Sexual Violence, the Centre for Women and the Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre.
